This nature learning experience uses inspiration from the children's book Roxaboxen and turns it into a way for children to create their own nature community with family, schoolmates or friends!

Within this unit plan is a week's worth of activities that tie in the natural environment. All disciplines are explored as first grade students study different biomes.
Children hammered flowers onto scraps of fabric to make floral pictures creating a clear connection between art and nature.
